The tool reads the first audio track that the browser encoder can access and writes a new MP3, WAV, or OGG download. The original file is not changed.
MP3 is broadly compatible and useful for sharing. WAV is uncompressed and can be larger. OGG is an open compressed format supported by many modern players. Test the output in the player where you intend to use it.
For MP3 and OGG, bitrate is the amount of data allocated per second of audio. A higher number can create a larger file and may preserve more detail, but the source track sets the upper limit of what can be retained.
The first job loads the browser encoder, then the browser must decode and write the media locally. Runtime, resolution, source codec, device speed, and available memory all affect the time.
No. A video without an audio track cannot produce meaningful extracted audio. The tool will report a processing error rather than inventing or generating sound.
