The calculator converts entered dry-matter quantity to as-fed quantity using the entered dry-matter percentage, then divides that total by the entered forage and concentrate percentages. It does not evaluate nutrient adequacy or feed safety.
Ten 500 kg animals at a 2.5% entered dry-matter intake produce 125 kg dry matter. At 50% dry matter, the model shows 250 kg as-fed; a 70% forage share displays 175 kg forage and 75 kg concentrate.
